FAQs: Hey, so where are you living? A house, an apartment?

I think most people interested in the answer to this question know that we're living in an apartment but I decided to bring it up because I owe photos of our apartment and the building to several people. Anyway, better late than never ...

The building in which we live is called "Fashion House" and it was still under construction when we first moved in. They finished it around July or August of this year, so when we moved in the building was brand new and so was our apartment. The building is only 11 floors tall and we live in on of the corner apartments on the 4th floor. The outside walls are basically floor to ceiling glass windows which gives us a pretty awesome view of the city :) In fact, when we were apartment hunting, the view and the light this apartment had was what caught our attention and convinced us that this was perfect place for us. In addition to a rooftop infinity pool and gym, the ground floor has several restaurants and shops, but the best part is the location. We live in an area or neighborhood known as "The Fashion District" or "King West".

King West is one of the neighborhoods with the highest growth and development in Toronto so basically, everything is fairly new. In fact, the area has been compared to the Soho neighborhood in New York. King West is an area popular with young professionals seeking an urban lifestyle as well as young couples who still want to be in the center of it all. It is close to downtown and the financial district, where a great number of offices are located and it is within walking distance of the entertainment district. The soccer stadium is less than 2 miles away and the baseball, basketball, and hockey stadiums are 10-12 blocks away. This provides easy access to all sorts of sporting events, concerts, and festivals year round. Our neighborhood is one of the most active areas in the city when it comes to nightlife. With a wide variety of bars, clubs, and trendy restaurants there is always something going on and it is always vibrant and alive. A few blocks north we have two eclectic and hipster neighborhoods with extensive shopping (boutiques and common brands), parks, art galleries, cafes and restaurants. To the south, less than 2 miles away, we enjoy the waterfront which has several paths and parks for jogging and relaxing, including a small city beach!

So basically, we absolutely love our apartment and the location. We are close to everything and can pretty much get around walking or a quick trip on public transportation. Although it was a difficult decision at the time, today we can say without a doubt we chose the perfect home :) Having shared a bit about where we are living, I know leave you with some of the most awaited pictures of the year, I present you...
